We all have to have a story like this to tell right?
Ian was so excited to show me his handy work that also included the rug, leather chair, piano bench, pillows, and the light fixtures we were giving away.
Thank goodness for washable markers. Although we'll never get it out of the couch, it did wipe off of everything else. I think I'll keep the markers and crayons up from now on.

Oh no!! Which one did this? Was it Sawyer? Or did Ian write on his brother? I've seen that happen on America's Funniest Home Videos. Ian looks like he's enjoying the clean-up! Wow, you'll have a story to tell someone someday!! Love, Gram and Gramp Conn
Sorry I should have made it a little more clear. It was ALL Ian. :-)
OMG, I think I would have started crying.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha (wiping tears from my eyes)! Yes, everyone has a story like this. After some time has passed the story gets funnier and funnier. It was a good idea to have him help with the clean-up.
We have lots of stories like this but my favorite was when Emi found the diaper rash cream during her naptime (she was up out of her bed when she shouldn't have been) and wiped it all over her face, the bedsheets, the wall, her pillow and stuffed animals. When I went into their room to wake them up, her face was ghostly pale and I was worried that she was sick and then the smell of diaper rash cream hit me and I knew exactly what she had done. She thought it was make-up. FYI - diaper rash cream is really hard to get out of almost everything.
Now it's pretty funny and Emi and Misaki have heard it enough that they can repeat the story themselves.
We had that same kind of moment today! We were driving in the van and I was totally zoned out in my thoughts and Charlie says, "Mommy look we're drawing on ours windows!" I look back and they are coloring on the van windows. I reminded them that we only color on paper and made them help me clean it when we got home (after sitting in the corner). They have never done anything like that so I was shocked! It happens to the best of us! Hope you can get it out of your couch!
how funny Ian is so cute

See? I knew we all had to have stories like this! :-)
Sarah...Oh my word I can't imagine how hard it must have been to get the cream out of everything. MUCH harder than my washable markers!
Tasha...It must have been some family connection. LOL No luck on the couch. I think we'll just turn the cushion over!
Daniel.. Yes cute but such a stinker. Hmmm...maybe he learned it from his cousins??? :-)
Hey Andrea.... Try Windex.... It's worked miracles for me in the past... Oh yeah... as much as we love the little ones... Your story reminds me of just one of the reasons, We ARE SO ENJOYING THE EMPTY NEST!!!
